Synopsis

In this book some existence and uniqueness results for difference first order initial value problems and second order difference boundary value problems are obtained. For this Banach contraction principle, Schauder’s fixed point theorem and Tychnoff’s fixed point theorem are used. Moreover some comparison theorems are obtained using lower and upper solutions as well as maximal and minimal solution of such difference equations.
