Synopsis

Designing of crown contours in fixed partial dentures is one of the very important but still less discussed topic .Clinical problems like periodontal inflammation, food impaction and ultimately failure of the prostheses are directly related to improper contour designing of artificial crowns. This book integrates principles of artificial crown contour in a very simple and lucid manner. The text covers all relevant aspects like principles of form and function, several theories ,controversies and current concepts regarding coronal contour, problems of over and under contoured crown ,biologic width etc. General guidelines and a few important clinical tips have also been presented. We expect that a thorough reading of the text prescribed in the book will be very helpful for both clinicians and students to answer any problems which are generally encountered during designing of contour of artificial crowns.

Biographie de l'auteur

Dr Yashpal Singh did masters in prosthodontics from KGMC, LKO, India in 2004.He worked in AIIMS as Senior resident.He has national and international publications to his credit. He has presented papers in various conferences. He is currently associate professor in Subharti dental college, India.He is also the faculty in PGCOI implant course, IGNOU.
