Good academic performance in Kenyan public primary schools is more of an ideal than a reality. It is the task of stakeholders particularly the teacher’s, community leaders, parents and universities to create and sustain a conducive learning environment to improve pupils’ academic performance. This book examines the impact of university outreach program on academic performance of primary schools pupils in their Kenya certificate of primary school education. Using Moi University as a case study, the book sought to establish the impact of outreach program on academic performance of pupils in KCPE and to identify the main roles played by parents to enhance academic performance of pupils in KCPE, the book also sought to establish the contribution of teachers and their perception towards the outreach program and to identify mechanisms for bringing about an improvement in the academic performance of primary school pupils based on the findings of the study. This book also addresses the role played by parents, community leaders and teachers towards learning. This book will be useful to teachers of primary schools, parents, policy maker and other interested citizens.

Solomon Mang'ira holds M.Phil in Environmental Law, PGDE and an Administrator, Moi University. He is pursuing D.Phil. in Environmental Sc. Dr. Chang’ach is a lecturer at Moi University, School of Education. Roselyne has M. Phil. in Info.Sc.
