Synopsis

The main objective of the present research was to study the Status of Aged People of Pakistan with reference to the modernization in the society. The universe of the present study consisted of one of the major city of Pakistan, Lahore. Sample of 100 respondents were drawn by accidental sampling technique. A well-organized keenly structured interview schedule was used as a tool of data collection and researcher personally did the fieldwork. Findings of the study showed that the status of the aged people effected with the increase in modernization or change in social values.

He has recently completed his m.Phil in south asian studies, has written so far 4 research articles, 1 book, "neighbourliness in lahore" and contributed 3 chapters in a book, "issues & challenges in saarc counturies".
