Hardcover. Etat : Very Good. "A charming collection of rapid pen-and-ink sketches by South Australian artist Ruth Tuck, capturing visiting musicians, conductors, and orchestras performing in Adelaide concert halls between the 1960s and 1980, presented in parallel English and German text with a personal, behind-the-scenes feel to the classical music world of the era. Details Author: Ruth Tuck Illustrator: Not Stated Publisher: Dr. Wolfgang Schwarze Verlag, Wuppertal Publication Year: 1981 Printed In: Germany ISBN: 3-877-41080-4 Condition: Hardcover in worn condition, red cloth boards with rubbing, bumped corners, and small splits/tears to the spine ends and hinge (visible top and bottom of spine). No dust jacket present. This particular copy is exceptional: it is signed by Ruth Tuck in ink on the title page, and additionally features an original pen sketch by Tuck of a violinist (inscribed ""Brahms 1st Symphony"") on the front free endpaper, along with a separate handwritten presentation inscription dated 1982. Internally the text block is clean and complete, pages tightly bound, with light foxing/toning consistent with age. A pair of small pink paper notes with pricing/handling info are affixed to the front cover (seller's own reference labels, easily removed, not part of the original book).".
