Synopsis

The book deals with the theological problem of the relation of other religions to Christianity. Can Christianity claim to be unique and universal, given the fact that other religions propose themselves as means of salvation ? Educated at Sacred Heart College, Shembaganur, St Mary's College, Kurseong, Gregorian University Rome, Ph.D., Oxford University, D.Phil. (oxon). Professor of Theology and History of Religions at the Gregorian University, Director and chief-editor of Studia Missionalia and Documenta Missionalia, former consultant to the Pontifical Council for interreligious dialogue, Vatican City, Visiting Professor at Fordham University and Columbia University, New York.
