Synopsis

PARADISO - A fixer's purgatory

Bruised and battered, about to be executed in a movie graveyard. How did things ever get so far? What started as a seemingly easy bounty job, with mind-blowing wealth on the line, has turned into a dead end. Or, in upscale PARADISO lingo, rather a cul-de-sac.Streetwise Anne has a colorful past as a hustler, model and then some. She’s hiding from U.S. prosecution in Mediterranean Europe after a stint on the lam in the Caribbean. She knew the consequences. Did it anyway. As a fixer she makes problems - and the occasional corpse - disappear. Backed by an idiosyncratic ex-French Foreign Legion roughneck with a sensitive side who regards shooting at WaveRunners as a recreational activity. Business is thriving and, all things considered, life is good for the Floridian native in her chic exile. Until her past comes knocking. Turmoil is brewing, and before she has a chance to react, she's caught in a tailspin. Who fixes for a fixer?Enter Mr. Hollywood, a sought-after fixer who could use a breather. Unfortunately, he brings trouble of his own. His last job was exceptionally dangerous and dirty, nearly gotten him and his crew of Mexican ex-gangbangers killed. So he's accepted what looks like a straightforward, white-collar manhunt. The perks aren't bad, either: private planes and investigations in suitably ritzy destinations like Malibu, Venice, St. Barts, Miami, and the Côte d'Azur. And collaborating with attractive, mysterious, delicately dangerous Anne? He wouldn't exactly call that a hardship. They have a lot in common. Like hellhounds on their trail. When said hellhounds blow into Paradiso, things take a turn for the worse. Only then does Mr. Hollywood realize that this assignment may be his swan song. If he’s lucky enough to make it that far. What seemed like easy money with an incredible bonus on top has turned into a death spiral of mayhem! Día de los Muertos
