Taschenbuch. Etat : Neu. Neuware - New York City 2020 - artist Nancy Goldring makes drawings that capture a city in quarantine, meditations on this moment in time and history. She descirbes in words and pictures; first being locked in, then venturing forth to run errands, and watching as the streets begin to slowly fill up again: the crowds angry at the murder of George Floyd and many others killed by the police, but also people simply trying to return to the lives »they used to live«. She walks for hours and days through the city, her city, trying to fathom what this strange chaos is about, until she arrives at a peculiar old boat docked along the Hudson. She begins to discover the purpose of the barge and work carried out by the group of men aboard. Text in german and english language.
