David Jakob was born in Switzerland and has lived in England, Italy, and Switzerland, where he now resides. With degrees in Philosophy, Psychology, Marketing, and Information Science, his wide-ranging career has included roles as an electrician, cook, strategic project manager, lecturer, and web designer. In Appeasement Then and Now, he draws on both historical insight and personal experience to explore how human denial and fear of change continue to shape our world - from Munich in 1938 to the crises of today. Combining philosophical reflection with a strategist's clarity, David invites readers to confront the moral choices of our time. Now retired, he devotes his energy to writing and peace education initiatives in Switzerland.

Paperback. Etat : new. Paperback. Reality Is a Thought is an exploration of how our minds shape the world we experience. Drawing on philosophy, psychology, and insights from spiritual teachers, David Jakob shows that what we call "reality" is less an external fact than a construction of thought. By examining the habits of belief, the influence of memory, and the patterns of perception, he invites readers to question what they take for granted and to rediscover the immediacy of their own experience. The book challenges the assumption that truth lies outside of us. Instead, Jakob argues that genuine clarity comes from within - through attention to feeling, awareness of the present moment, and the recognition that every breath is a reminder of life itself. He connects this inner work with the teachings of mystics and living masters, offering a perspective that is both grounded and universal.Written in an accessible style, Reality Is a Thought bridges the gap between intellectual inquiry and direct experience. It asks: What happens when we let go of inherited beliefs? What remains when thought is set aside, even for an instant? In these questions lies the possibility of freedom - not as an abstract concept, but as a lived reality. For readers of philosophy, psychology, and spirituality, this book is a clear and encouraging companion on the path toward self-knowledge and inner peace. It is a call to stop chasing external answers and to discover instead the richness of reality as it unfolds in consciousness itself. This item is printed on demand.
