Large (folio-size) compilation of the architectural drawings of prominent landscape architect Lawrence Halprin, who was associated with the 1962 Seattle World's Fair, UC Berkeley, the city of Jerusalem, Ghirardelli Square in San Francisco, Nicollet Mall in Minneapolis, the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial in Washington and many other famous sites. The book has sound hinges and does not lean. It is spotless inside except for the previous owner's signature in the top right corner of the first free endpage. The only marks on the exterior covers are two tiny spots near the bottom edge of the front cover and slight toning to top and bottom edges. None of the book's cover corners are bumped. The book's dust jacket is moderately soiled. It is not price-clipped. There is wear to top and bottom edges of the jacket including some curled edges, small chips and tears. The jacket's yellow color has faded to white in many places. (Note: Photos may show a flash reflection.) PayPal always welcome. We pack all our books with care and ship in cardboard boxes. A great book from the landscape architect/designer who over 30 years moved from a traditional design practice to a more personal mode of creativity. There is an inscription on the half title page "for Ann & James with affection - Larry". There is a typed letter of recommendation on the inside of the front cover for Ann O'Kelley-Oldham. On the inside of the back cover there is a hand written note to Ann from Larry asking her to bring the sketches- board up to thte Sea Ranch.
