Conventionally silver nanoparticles are synthesized by a chemical method using chemicals as reducing agents which later on become accountable for various biological risks due to their general toxicity; engendering the serious concern to develop environment-friendly processes.To solve the objective, green approaches are coming up to fill the void.For instance, green syntheses using plant sources in the form of extracts exhibiting superiority over chemical and/or biological methods. This book covers the green synthesis of silver nanoparticles by various plant extracts and their environmental remediation applications (photocatalytic degradation of organic pollutants, catalytic and antimicrobial activity).

Er. Jagpreet Singh did his Master’s in Nanotechnology from Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, India. His research areas focus on the chemo-bio synthesis of metal nanoparticles and their environmental remediation applications. He has published 13 research articles in international peer-reviewed journals & also serving as reviewer of 4 journals.
