Terry replaced Steve Cleveland as head coach of the Bulldogs on April 7, 2011. Steve Cleveland (born 1952) is an American college basketball coach and the former men's head basketball coach at Fresno State. During his tenure at Fresno State, Cleveland directed the largest Academic Progress Rate improvement in the nation. Prior to Fresno State, he was the head coach at Brigham Young University from 1997–2005, leading the Cougars to 3 NCAA tournaments.
