9786138326434: Studies on the Behavior of Anionic Surfactant Sodiumdodecyl Sulphate (SDS)

Synopsis

The main target of this book was to find the solution properties of anionic surfactant sodiumdodecyl sulphate (SDS) in water and in methanol-water mixed solvent media at different temperatures in presence and in absence of monovalent salts (NaCl, KCl, NaBr and KBr). The study includes measurement of the density, conductivity, surface tension and viscosity of surfactant solution in pure water and 0.10, 0.20, 0.30 and 0.40 volume fractions of methanol at 298.15, 308.15, 318.15 and 323.15 K. The co-authors of this book, Dr. Tulasi Prasad Niraula earned M.Sc. in Inorganic chemistry from Tribhuvan University and Ph.D. in Surface Chemistry from Tribhuvan University. He is currently the associate professor in the Department of Chemistry, M.M.A.M.C., Tribhuvan University, Biratnagar, Nepal. Professor Dr. Sujeet Kumar Chatterjee earned his M.Sc. in physical chemistry from Tribhuvan University and Ph.D. from T. M. Bhagalpur University in binary molten alloys.
