The population of the world is increasing day by day and natural water resources have been found insufficient to meet the demand for fresh water. Water scarcity could be the global risk for the next decades if steps will not be taken for the reclamation of wastewater.Electrodialysis(ED) is a new advanced separation process that is commonly utilized for producing drinking water from water bodies as well as for the treatment of industrial effluents.ED processes applied on a commercial scale. Anaerobic digestion is one of the most important processes used for various industrial wastewaters as well as sewage treatments because it combines pollution reduction and energy production. An AnMBR can be simply defined as a biological treatment process operated without oxygen and using a membrane to provide solid-liquid separation. The first two chapters present a review on an AMBR and ED . The photocatalysis mechanism for H2 production from water has been reviewed in the last chapter.
