Synopsis

Breast cancer is one of the most common malignancies in Egypt and worldwide. Many factors have been listed as risk factors for this disease. A considerable number of females, who have been diagnosed with breast cancer, had a history of other health issues as well. The researcher questioned the correlation of breast cancer risk to a number of selected health problems which are; diabetes, hypertension and obesity. To answer this question a sample of 100 female participant of the Women Health Outreach Program (WHOP) have been recruited in a descriptive study that revealed statistical significance between diabetes, hypertension & obesity to breast cancer risk. Based on these results the researcher designed nursing protocol to promote breast cancer awareness and screening practices. another Sample of 30 female clients from Kasr Al-Aini outpatient clinics have been recruited to conduct nursing protocol to test the suggested nursing protocol.
