Maize (Zea mays L.) is the world’s leading cereal grain crop. It is one of the most versatile emerging crop having wider adaptability. Maize is known as “Queen of cereals” because of its highest genetic yield potential. The obtain higher profitable yield of summer maize GM 6, crop should be fertilized with 100% RDN through urea, but considering the higher profitabity with maintaining soil fertility, the crop should be fertilized with 75% recommended nitrogen through urea and 25 % through bio-compost under south Gujarat condition.
