Glassy phase in Zr-(Ti,Nb,Pd)-Al-(Ni,Cu), Zr-Al-TM (Co,Ni,Cu)-M (Pd,Au,Pt) and (Zr,Ti)-Be-(Ni,Cu) alloys has been produced in ~10 mm diameter rod by Cu mould casting. Nanocrystalline/ nano-quasicrystalline precipitates can be incorporated in the amorphous matrix through a suitable heat treatment.
