Synopsis

In recent years, the demand of plant growth regulator is increasing in the world. PGRs are extensively and haphazardly used by vegetable growers. Majority of the farmers who are living at subsistence level don’t have more idea on it. Furthermore there is imbalance use of these hormones. Recently, with increased awareness on the health and environmental problems caused by the unmanaged use of hormones, it is imperative to determine their concentration for promoting the fruit set that will eventually lead to enhance increasing yield of cucumber. Wise application of PGR’s are proved to be fruitful to cucurbit farmers. Realizing the significance of this experiment this book has been undertaken to know the influence of ethephon on growth, development and yield of cucumber.
