Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) is a maintenance program which involves a newly defined concept for maintaining plants and equipments. This research is into the implementation of the KK Pillar activities in a manufacturing company which is a project based industry and does not have repetitive products. Customization of TPM principles to project based industry is an important part of this research.The research work was done on the Kobetsu Kaizen (KK) approach, an important pillar of TPM. This book describes the steps before implementing seven step approach of KK pillar and its implementation process. KK pillar looks into primarily involved losses related to the equipment's. KK Pillar also deals with all the losses and analyzes them by using various Quality Control (QC) tools like Pareto chart and come up with suggestions that need to be implemented to reduce recurring losses. KK is aimed at improving production effectiveness by systematic identification and elimination of losses using various Kaizen tools (PM analysis, 5-Why analysis, Summary of losses, Kaizen register, Kaizen summary sheet, etc.).
