En ligne avec la théorie éducative constructiviste et le travail théorique sur la valeur du feedback dans l'évaluation, une application Web nommée WEBEXDE (WEb-Based EXamination Device) a été développée. L'application permet à l'enseignant d'interroger les élèves pendant le séminaire et de détecter à travers leurs réponses le niveau de leurs connaissances antérieures et le niveau de compréhension et de capacité à suivre les sujets du séminaire. Il s'agit également d'une tentative de motiver les étudiants par le biais d'une évaluation formative à participer activement lors des séminaires de cours de physique. L'application permet également d'effectuer un court quiz pendant la pratique du laboratoire afin de vérifier les connaissances requises, c'est-à-dire de vérifier si un étudiant a acquis les connaissances nécessaires à un exercice spécifique. À la fin du cours, une enquête a été menée pour questionner l'interaction auto-perçue des élèves avec l'enseignant, la motivation, l'auto-évaluation des compétences générales acquises, la satisfaction, l'alphabétisation TIC et quelques conseils généraux pour l'amélioration de l'application Web.
