Le Bangladesh est largement reconnu comme l'un des pays les plus vulnérables au climat au monde. Elle subit de fréquentes catastrophes naturelles, qui causent des pertes en vies humaines, des dommages aux infrastructures et aux actifs économiques et des impacts négatifs sur les vies et les moyens de subsistance. Les pauvres urbains sont extrêmement vulnérables à ce changement climatique et aux conséquences des catastrophes et les implications sont encore plus fortes dans le cas de la ville de Dacca. Le changement climatique entraîné par le réchauffement climatique affecte Dacca principalement de deux manières : par les inondations et le blocage du drainage et par le stress thermique. Les objectifs de cette étude sont principalement d'examiner les implications des catastrophes et des changements climatiques pour les personnes urbaines extrêmement pauvres. Comme les pauvres extrêmes sont privés de tout soutien comme la santé, l'éducation, les abris, etc., ils n'ont aucune protection contre tout type de catastrophe. Donc, si une catastrophe affecte les pauvres urbains ont tout perdu. Cependant, en raison des implications sanitaires, les personnes des citadins extrêmement pauvres souffrent beaucoup. Dans le cadre de l'étude, il examinera les implications de la catastrophe et du changement climatique sur leur santé et d'autres besoins fondamentaux. Il découvrira également les pratiques existantes pour le mécanisme de lutte contre la catastrophe et le changement climatique.
