Synopsis
Retrofitting of Intigrated Coal Classification Combined Cycle Plant with an existing plant is described. Types of gasification plant is briefly addressed for selection of Gasifier. The gasifier is sized to match the Gas turbine of 34 MWe rating. Heat balance and mass balance across subsystems is carried out. In order to maximize the power output, the auxiliary systems are designed to develop an additional power in the steam turbo generator by the super heated steam at high pressure. process design parameters, preliminary design of gasifier, Heat recovery boiler and operation methodology of IGCC plant are described in the book.
