Synopsis

The primary purpose of writing this book is to make available to the students and is prepared for case study projects. This book deals with the modelling and analysis of pressure hulls for reducing the buckling pressure. Now a days, Cylindrical Pressure hulls are widely used for commercial, underwater and defense applications. At present, the pressure hulls are made up of conventional metals which are isotropic and uniform in nature and cannot be tailored, whereas composite materials have better physical and directional dependent properties which can be tailored easily and oriented in the desired directions for structural efficiency. The advent of this book is to prepare the analytical model of pressure hull to withstand under the buckling pressures and reduce the buckling failure pressures. This book is evident from both analytical and numerical method that the buckling failure pressures are in close agreement with each other.
