Synopsis

Study of heterosis, combining ability and gene Action for yield and it's contributing traits in bottle gourd was carried out by using diallel analysis excluding reciprocal for different characters at Regional Horticultural Research Station, ACHF, NAU, Navsari during late kharif-2015. The materials comprising 37 genotypes including eight parental lines and their 28 F1s along with one Commercial check(MGH-4). Different characters were studied in RBD design with three replication for heterosis and combining ability of parents and hybrids.
