Le VIH/sida est une menace majeure pour le bien-être social, économique et politique général de la population mondiale en général et de l'Éthiopie en particulier. C'est un problème grave chez les jeunes du groupe d'âge 15-24 ans, où les femmes sont les groupes de population les plus vulnérables. Ainsi, la VCT est une intervention potentiellement efficace pour prévenir la transmission du VIH en inculquant des changements de comportement. Évaluer les connaissances, les attitudes et la pratique à l'égard de l'utilisation des services VCT chez les élèves du secondaire Gimbi. Pour arriver à l'objectif visé, une étude transversale est menée dans la zone d'étude auprès des lycéens Gimbi à partir de février. La collecte de données a été effectuée à l'aide de questionnaires structurés qui ont principalement des questions ouvertes parmi 310 élèves des lycéens de Gimbi. Les données recueillies ont été soigneusement comptabilisées, tabulées, organisées puis analysées. Tous les répondants ont une bonne connaissance du VIH/sida, mais tous ne mettent pas en œuvre leurs connaissances complètes pour sa prévention. Les résultats ont révélé que 67,7 % (210) des répondants de l'échantillon ont indiqué qu'ils connaissaient les services VCT alors que les autres 32,3 % d'entre eux ont répondu qu'ils ne sont pas au courant.
