La présente étude visait à étudier les effets du type de brillance (lexical et au niveau du sujet) et de la capacité de mémoire de travail sur la capacité de compréhension de la lecture des apprenants EFL iraniens. Les résultats des analyses statistiques ont indiqué que les brillants lexicaux et au niveau du sujet avaient un effet significatif sur l'amélioration de la capacité de compréhension de la lecture des participants. Cependant, il n'y avait pas de différence significative entre les effets des deux types de traitement sur la performance de lecture. Les résultats de l'étude ont également montré que les étudiants ayant une capacité de mémoire de travail plus élevée obtenaient des scores de lecture plus élevés, indiquant que la mémoire de travail affecte considérablement la capacité de compréhension de la lecture.
