Synopsis
A dark, gritty psychological thriller / paranormal horror. Chaos is what the demon wants, maximum chaos. Its diabolical minions, the death shades, whisper its manipulative commands into the minds of the vulnerable, preparing the world for the end. The apocalypse is coming. That is Lydia Cloveheart’s terrible secret. She is the only one who knows the truth, and for that, the demon wants her soul and its death shades are intent on driving her insane. It’s no wonder that her teacher say she’s not concentrating in school.
Since her parents’ tragic deaths, life has been a constant struggle. But Lydia’s a fighter, armed with the power of Goth… and a few knives concealed in her leather jacket. Depressants help her sleep and daily mischief keeps her focused. Really, her city of Greenfield could burn in hell for all she cared because she has an exit plan. When she turns sixteen, she’s going to drop out of school and elope with her boyfriend Hugh.
She has to survive to sixteen, though, which may pose a challenge. The years of being an anti-establishment miscreant have created a lot of enemies. The football team seems pretty keen on lynching her and the 51st Street Gang is hunting her down for a drug debt. And all of her enemies’ strings are being pulled by that demon.
