Synopsis

The fire retardants have been added to the materials to increase fire retardance. There are different compounds such as nitrogen, phosphorous, halogen, inorganic, organic have been used as fire retardants. In the fields of electronic device manufacturing, composites manufacturing, building construction materials fire retardants have been using in great amount. The fire retardants contain organic entities and halogen elements are harmful for both environment and human health. While burning, the inorganic flame retardants such as aluminum tri-hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide, titanium oxide, zinc oxide and zinc borate do not release the toxic gases, and they acts as smoke suppressors.
