Synopsis
Choanephora est une saprobe facultative qui appartient à la sous-division Zygomycotina, Order: Mucorales et Family Choanephoraceae et elle est responsable de la brûlure des rameaux dans le piment. Il dispose d'une large gamme d'hôtes. La présente enquête a été lancée pour étudier les symptômes et la gestion de la maladie. Une enquête préliminaire a été menée dans 6 grands districts de culture de piment du district de Telangana pendant le kharif 2013-14. L'agent pathogène a été isolé de la feuille et prouvé pour sa pathogénèce. Une croissance poilue importante de Choanephora cucurbitarum sur le tissu infecté a été trouvée dans les heures du matin. Dix variétés ont été testées contre l'agent pathogène test C. cucurbitarum. L'agent de contrôle biologique potentiel et le fongicide efficace ont été examinés. Ce captan a été trouvé le plus efficace pour réduire l'incidence de la maladie de 66,47 %, suivi de Trichoderma viride + captan + huile de neem.
