This research is aimed at providing a solution for one of the common problems in Ethiopian roads, poor pavement performance. The cause varies from one stretch to another. Excessive loads, climatic changes, poor drainage, and low-quality pavement materials are some of the causes. In this research, a statistical model was developed, validated and cross-validated in order to incorporate maximum air temperature and latitude effect in the mix design. Accordingly, the most dominant mix design method in the country, Marshall Mix Design was modified and a model to predict the most accurate maximum pavement surface temperature was provided.
