The book provides the comparative study of two diversely used pulse width modulation technique based voltage source inverter (VSI) fed induction motor. Induction motors are mostly used in every sector that may be industrial or commercial due to its easy handling nature. For the control of the induction motor variable voltage and variable frequency is supplied by the voltage source inverter (VSI). Where the switching pulse can be generated by using different pulse width modulation (PWM) techniques. The PWM techniques those are discussed in this study are sinusoidal based Pulse Width Modulation (SPWM) and Space Vector based Pulse Width Modulation (SVPWM). The triggering pulse in the SPWM method is generated by comparing the sinusoidal wave with the triangular wave. Whereas in case of the SVPWM strategy the pulse is generated by taking the revolving rotating vector as the reference vector.
