Huge quantities of data availability have opened up many ways to use it in effective and efficient manner. The produced information can be vital source of knowledge discovery and hidden pattern analysis in the fields like medical science, education, business analytics, weather analysis, agriculture and many more. As far as traditional statistical techniques and database management systems are concerned, they are not adequate for the purpose of analysis for such huge volume of data. This inability of traditional approach leads to invention of new technique - Data Mining. Data Mining is also referred as "Knowledge Discovery" which has become a growing field significantly for the study & analysis purpose. The main advantage of the Data Mining is its ability to analyze data in versatile manner with different perspective and summarization techniques . The book describes the application of Data Mining in the field of education where graduating students are assisted for their PG course against various parameters. Student's post graduation degree is predicted upon the analysis of various parameters using Decision Tree classifier technique of Classification.
