Synopsis

Vestibular migraine or migraine associated vertigo is recurrent episode of vertigo or dizziness associated with light sensitivity and noise intolerance with or without accompanying headache. The clinical examination and laboratory test within normal range in vestibular migraine but it is used to exclude other vestibular pathology that overlap with symptom of vestibular migraine and also to detect the extent of vestibular deficit. In patients with history of imbalance we should evaluate the vestibular function. One of the new methods that can provide the objective assessment to the vestibular system is Video head impulse test which is a video based instrument that records the eye movement during the head impulses, it can measure the gain of VOR and it is quantitative test of semicircular canal function.
