In the recent times, Multilevel Inverter (MLI) Technology is constantly evolving in the research area of high voltage with high power energy control. Various modulation schemes have emerged for its control. In this work, Phase Disposition (PD) modulation technique, which is a type of MCPWM technique, has been implemented to improve the output voltage waveform of a five level diode clamped multilevel inverter.
