The main objective of this book is to study and develop load balancing routing techniques so that lifetime of the network increases, data packets can be efficiently delivered from source to destination node and network must be able to provide better QoS constraints. Given the inherent characteristics of MANETs, the solutions must be adaptable to dynamic topology, efficient with the bandwidth usage, scalable and energy efficient when various network parameters are concerned. Moreover, the focus is also on realistic approaches having relevance in real-life deployments. This means that the protocols should not be designed merely on the basis of generic assumptions, which could lead to incorrect conclusions. Our research works are mainly related to the development of new load balancing techniques for the routing protocols so that their performance can be improved. We have contributed one proactive load balancing routing protocol and three reactive load balancing routing protocols
