Synopsis

Supracondylar humerus fractures (SCHF) are the most common pediatric fractures about the elbow, making up approximately 15% of all fractures in pediatric patients and have a peak incidence in the first decade of life. These fractures often instill fear in the treating physician because of the young age of the child, the often gross displacement, and the risk of neurovascular compromise from the injury and treatment.
