For measuring and examining efficiency, growth and financial performance of banks in India, the data of all selected banks (top ten banks from each category public, private and foreign sector) have been collected. For studying the performance through different ratios, the pre-recession period from 2000-01 to 2006-07 and post-recession period from 2007-08 to 2013-14 i.e. 14 years have been taken.
