Controlling tooth movements in three dimensions has been made possible by the advent of fixed orthodontic appliances. However , increasing number of adults orthodontic patients have expressed the need for more esthetic , comfortable and hygienic alternate to fixed orthodontic appliances.In order to successfully delivery orthodontic treatment , clinicians need to carefully plan an appropriate therapeutic approach based on current scientific evidence,although this is not the only determining factorfor final decision as clinical experience & patient’s opinion also play an important role , this information needs to be taken into consideration to assess the possibilities and limitation of each treatment modality.The possibility of using clear plastic appliances was introduced in 1945 by Dr, H.D.
