Piezometers are means of controlling and measuring pressures inside the supports and foundations of hydraulic structures. They are designed to intercept underground flow in the event of leaks. The measurement of piezometric levels in open piezometers is carried out by an electric probe. The disadvantage of these piezometers lies in their response time, which is very high, which led to the design of constant volume piezometers. On the other hand, the measurement in closed piezometers is made by a manometer. In order to find adequate solutions to the problem of leaks, it is necessary to determine the pathways of these water leaks and the faulty locations. For this reason, we have mentioned in our book the new techniques of leak detection which allow to determine the infiltration areas within the tanks and the probable connections between the different water masses . Moreover, it confirms or denies the existence of water circulation paths between the reservoir and the resurgences. These methods are the subject of our research axis.
