With a view to find more about children of migrant labour families, this study seems helpful in relation to the time use pattern and its impact on their cognition. The objectives were to study the gender difference in time use pattern, cognitive abilities of children who were attending school and not attending school, in migrant labour families. And also to find out the relationship between time use pattern and cognitive abilities of children attending school and not attending school, in migrant labour families. Results revealed that males spent significantly more time in academics, play and market work whereas, females spent longer time in personal care, TV viewing and household chores. Female children were significantly spending longer time with the mother whereas boys were significantly spending more time with the father. School going children were significantly superior in all the cognitive abilities than their non-school counterparts.
