Phytoplankton are micro- organisms which does not have any low mortuary oxygen floating water surface and move with water current. Phytoplankton are photosynthetic autotrophic which constitute the primary producers tropic level of oceanic water. They very high productivity and key of whole marine ecosystem .The phytoplankton includes all the plant-like organisms plant-like in the sense that they are autotrophic and contribute directly to the food available in the surface waters by building up their protoplasm and food reserves directly from carbon dioxide and salts in solution in the sea. Zooplanktons are planktonic free-floating animals in fresh and marine aquatic systems, and are the major consumers of the organisms in the microbial food web. Dr.Vasudevan Sukumar,M.SC.,Ph.D., Project fellow(MHRD) in Center of Advance Study in Marine Biology, Faculty of Marine Sciences, Annamalaiuniversity India. He as experience in the Marine Plankton Culture,Isolation and Identification. At Present he is working in Biofuel production from marine organic waste Projects.
