Synopsis

During last decades, environmental protection by industrial and manufacturing sectors is progressively becoming a popular issue. Additionally, government has formulated certain rules and regulations relating to environment, which need to be adopted by these sectors for survival. Numerous awareness programs by educational institutes, government and non government agencies etc. are also motivating to realize the manufacturers about the importance of providing green products produced by using green practices. The main intention of this book is to suggest a conceptual GSCM framework, which can donate a knowledge-based theory to be easily executed by global manufacturing firms. A supplier assessment platform incorporating green practices is served in this book. Effectual and correct supplier selection decisions provide significant machinery for green productions, green information, green logistics etc., which reflects green practices. To impart a knowledge base theory and to arouse interest in favor of environment protection towards greater audience, the authors proposed a decision support system and explain it by structuring this book into five chapters.

He obtained his Master of Technology degree from National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, India. He published numerous papers in web of science, Scopus and ISI listed journals.
