One of the major problems in the field of transportation is the evaluation of car cabin design (car interior) on the performance of the driver, accidents causality and prevention. This problem arises from the absence of a standard evaluation method that integrate most of the effective factors governing this modern branch of automotive design. This book aims to develop several evaluation algorithms that suit most of the car categories, based on ergonomic, economic and technical factors, where the input data may be accused from direct inspection of the car interior and also by performing several tests using laser beam, image processing and robotics to investigate the accessible field of view for the driver Field Of View (FOV), the neck & eye movements exerted by the driver to control the car and other visual aspects.

Wessam Hussein is an Associate Professor of Mechatronic Engineering. He received his PhD in Process Monitoring from McMaster University, Hamilton, Canada. He worked over 20 years in the field of Design and Manufacturing of Automobile. M. Nazeeh and H.Ayoub received their PhD in the field of Car Cabin Design and LASER Shadowgraphy.
