Preface: The application of mathematics to the modeling of infectious disease has been the platform where unexplained questions of an epidemic outbreak into a population, its transmission dynamics, the likelihood of the epidemic spreading or dying out in the population of susceptible, the best vaccination strategy that would be efficacious to be embarked on by governments and any treatment possibility of the disease are investigated. The modeling of infectious diseases has posed a variety of challenges to mathematician which has birthed developments in the application of the theory of non-linear differential equations, optimal control, stochastic differential equations. This book is as a result of the need to introduce university graduates of mathematics and biological sciences to some of the developments. It is primarily targeted to university students who are interested in the modeling of infectious diseases and application of mathematics to biological situations. In this work, we consider Stochastic and Optimal control model of malaria disease. The models are numerically solved and the dynamics in the models are illustrated.
