Synopsis

It is useful to provide students with teaching of writing explicitly by taking into account genre analysis. Discourse is one of the main factors in English for specific purposes in which genre plays an important role by noticing communicative purposes. In order to contextualize a genre, both schemata and experience of individuals should be taken into account. Genre analysis could be assumed as a useful way to guide researchers with different aspects of writing. This issue has been a crucial point in English as specific purposes. Previously conducted studies have been reported on the research articles (RA) Introduction sections, the results section in sociology RAs, the discussion section in sociology, political science and history RAs, the schematic structure of literature reviews and academic spoken discourse. The goal of this study is to analyze research articles in two sections including RAs abstracts and introductions in Artificial intelligence and Electronic commerce based on Swales' (1990;2004) CARS models of introduction and Hyland's (2000) model of abstract.

Biographie de l'auteur

Kayhan Rezaei was born in Iran (Hamadan) in 1974. He works at Iran NSTRI; an MA holder in TEFL. He obtained his Master’s degree from QIAU, Science and Research Branch. He has published 6 books and more than 11 articles in national and international conferences. Mahsa Mansouri is an MA degree of QIAU, she teaches in several institutes.
