We live in a fast moving world. Technology has reached an altogether different level. New inventions are made every day. In such a world, the hot topic of the past few years is “Smartphone”. Various companies come up with their own model of Smartphone and the users choose their phone based on various parameters like Cost, Battery and Camera Specs, etc. It’s not just because it looks attractive or it has a lot of useful applications but because of putting all these into one small medium, right from Camera till Internet usage. That’s what makes it Smart!! You have everything you need for your day-to-day activities inside your pocket. But still, one has to accept the fact that Electricity is the best invention of mankind. Simply because, all of these inventions will have its root in electricity in some or the other way as a medium of charging. So, Electricity plays a major role in mankind across all countries. We rely on our Power Grid for this electricity. With the enormous growth in technology, we need improvement in our existing Grids to deliver electricity in an energy efficient way that could be relied upon in times to come. That's where SMART GRIDS come into picture.

His areas of interest include Smart Grid, Micro Grid, Internet of Things, Grid Computing and Wireless Electricity. Author of several papers in IEEE Xplore.
