Synopsis
The publication suggests some new approaches to assessing the risk of hereditary diseases based on analysis of genotypes of candidate genes. The proposed methods are not based on the principles of data mining or machine learning, instead, certain statistical tools are used, including a posteriori distributions and hypothesis testing. The mutual influence of genes in assessing the risk of disease is fully taken into account. The results of calculations based on simulated and real data confirm the effectiveness of the proposed approaches.

Biographie de l'auteur
Graduated from St. Petersburg University. PhD in physics and mathematics. He worked at Ioffe Physical-Technical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the St. Petersburg University of Transport. Author of publications on computational mathematics, technical electrodynamics, genetic analysis of multifactorial diseases.
