Synopsis

Guidance services have crucial role in student development. School, in general, played one of the biggest roles in cultivating the youth toward maturity. Guidance services, therefore, should be evaluated from time to time for they create impact to the students. Moreover, guidance services have a wide range of functions essentials to youth. Each functions contains certain needs to be addressed to achieve expected outputs. This study aimed to assess different guidance services of universities and colleges in CAMANAVA (Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas and Valenzuela) area. These services are pre-admission service, admission service, orientation service, student-information service, information service, counseling service, placement service, remedial service, among the others. Moreover, the study also addressed the different problems in the implementation of the guidance services. The study also suggested several recommendations on the difficulties encountered by the selected universities in the field of guidance service. Moreover, a guidance program is proposed in order to enhance guidance service. The book could be used as a reliable source in this field of study.

Biographie de l'auteur

The author is a graduate of Master of Arts in Education Major in Guidance and Counseling at EARIST Manila. Presently, he is a Psychology professor, guidance counselor, Practicum Coordinator and Campus Administrator in his Alma Mater. Also, a part-time professor in other universities. He is a well-rounded motivational speaker and lecturer.
