Synopsis

This book looks at university students’ perceptions and experiences of academic libraries in Morocco. It also sought to study library user satisfaction with current information services and resources. The results of this study showed that students relied partly on the Internet for their academic assignments and research and partly on their libraries. They viewed the library as an essential organ of the university that enables access to both academic information materials and information literacy – skills imparted by librarians. This book informs higher education decision-makers in Morocco and researchers on students’ attitudes and uses of libraries and the importance of information literacy for learning and research.
