Synopsis

This text reflects on some of the various influences that science exerts on human behavior, the way our subjectivity has been modified, and the ease with which some sciences and technologies have imposed themselves, bringing with them material well-being and other unwanted effects. It also addresses how some other sciences cannot be accepted by our subjectivity accustomed to ancestral beliefs and superstitions that were imposed on us as children for several generations. It also addresses how academic activity and especially those of us who work in it, have developed a repertoire of behaviors according to the times, in many cases the trivialization that positivism entails has imposed itself, reducing philosophical reflection to much smaller sectors of the intellectuality. In this context, we discovered that of all the possible frauds imaginable, it is academic fraud: very few manage to recover quickly and completely, others do so partially and late, but the others, who are many more, do not even realize that they were victims of such fraud.
